33 caramels, divided
2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons 2% milk, divided
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/8 teaspoon salt
Dash ground cinnamon
1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
Vanilla ice cream, optional

Steps:

  • Place the apples in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. In a heavy saucepan, melt 25 caramels with 2 tablespoons milk, stirring often; drizzle over apples. , In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar, walnuts, salt and cinnamon; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. ½ cup white sugar

1 cup quick cooking oats
1 cup butter, softened
1 (14 ounce) package individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped
