CARAMEL APPLE NACHOS RECIPE - (4.6/5)

CARAMEL APPLE NACHOS Recipe - (4.6/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 6

30 large marshmallows
5 Tbsp butter
35 caramels
1 Tbsp water
4-5 apples, sliced
toppings (peanuts, sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, crushed candy bars, etc)

Steps:

  • Melt the marshmallows and butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir periodically until completely melted and smooth. Combine the caramels and water in a bowl and microwave until melted. I microwaved mine in 45 second intervals, stirring in between until the caramel was smooth. Arrange the sliced apples on a plate and pour the caramel and marshmallow mixtures over them. Add any additional toppings and serve immediately! Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Choose the right apples. Firm, crisp apples like Granny Smiths or Honeycrisps hold their shape well when caramelized.
  • Slice the apples thinly. This will help them caramelize evenly.
  • Use a large skillet. This will give the apples plenty of room to spread out and caramelize evenly.
  • Don't overcrowd the skillet. If you add too many apples, they will steam instead of caramelize.
  • Cook the apples over medium heat. This will help them caramelize slowly and evenly.
  • Stir the apples frequently. This will help them caramelize evenly and prevent them from burning.
  • Add the caramel sauce when the apples are almost caramelized. This will help the caramel sauce to evenly coat the apples.
  • Serve the caramel apples immediately. They are best enjoyed warm and gooey.

Conclusion:

Caramel apple nachos are a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. They are a great way to use up leftover apples, and they can be customized to your liking. Whether you like them simple or loaded with toppings, caramel apple nachos are sure to be a hit. So next time you are looking for a sweet treat, give caramel apple nachos a try!
