Time 15m

Yield 2 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 cup champagne
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon tarragon
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

Steps:

  • Grill, bake or pan-sear chicken breasts until no longer pink in center.
  • In a small saucepan add champagne, brown sugar, honey, Dijon and tarragon.
  • Over medium heat, stir mixture often until a glaze forms, about 4 minutes.
  • Return chicken to pan and turn chicken several times to glaze.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the dish will taste. This is especially true for the chicken. Use a free-range or organic chicken for the best flavor.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When searing the chicken, don't overcrowd the pan. This will prevent the chicken from browning evenly and will make it more likely to steam.
  • Cook the chicken to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit: This is the safe internal temperature for cooked chicken. Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the chicken is cooked through.
  • Make sure the glaze is thick and syrupy: The glaze should be thick enough to coat the chicken and should not be too runny. If the glaze is too thin, it will not stick to the chicken.
  • Garnish the chicken with fresh herbs: Fresh herbs, such as parsley or thyme, will add a pop of color and flavor to the dish.

Conclusion:

Champagne glazed chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a special occasion. The chicken is cooked to perfection and the glaze is sweet and savory. This dish is sure to impress your guests.
