Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the flavor of your burgers.
  • Don't overwork the meat. Overworking the meat will make it tough. Mix the meat gently by hand (or with a fork, spatula, or wooden spoon) until just combined.
  • Season the meat well. Use a variety of spices and herbs to flavor the meat. Some good options include salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, chili powder, cumin, and oregano.
  • Form the patties gently. Don't pack the meat too tightly or the burgers will be tough. Form the patties loosely and gently, using your hands.
  • Cook the burgers over medium heat. This will help prevent the burgers from drying out. Cook the burgers for 3-4 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees F.
  • Let the burgers rest before serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the burgers, making them more flavorful and juicy.
