Tips:

  • Choose the Right Cherries: Fresh or frozen cherries can be used, but make sure they are pitted and dried before adding them to the pie.
  • Toast the Almonds: Toasting the almonds will bring out their flavor and make them more fragrant. Spread them on a baking sheet and toast them in a preheated oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  • Chill the Pie Crust: Chilling the pie crust before baking will help it to hold its shape and prevent it from shrinking.
  • Use a Pie Ring: A pie ring will help to keep the pie crust from sagging and will give it a nice, even shape.
  • Bake the Pie Thoroughly: The pie should be baked until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
