- Prepare a 9 x 9" baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and 1 tbsp sugar; spread on bottom of prepared baking pan to form a crust.
- Mix the Dream Whip topping according to directions on the package, then beat in the softened cream cheese into the Dream Whip a little at a time.
- Add the remaining sugar and vanilla until well blended.
- Smooth on top of the crust.
- Top with the cherry pie filling.

Tips:
- Use fresh cherries: Fresh cherries will give your dessert the best flavor. If you don't have fresh cherries, you can use frozen or canned cherries. Just be sure to thaw frozen cherries before using them.
- Don't overcook the cherries: Overcooked cherries will be mushy and lose their flavor. Cook them just until they are softened and starting to burst.
- Use a good quality Chex cereal: Not all Chex cereals are created equal. Some brands are more bland than others. Look for a brand that has a good flavor and a crispy texture.
- Add your favorite mix-ins: You can add a variety of mix-ins to your Cherry Chex dessert to make it your own. Some popular mix-ins include nuts, chocolate chips, marshmallows, and dried fruit.
- Let the dessert cool completely before serving: This will help the dessert to set and firm up.
Conclusion:
Cherry Chex dessert is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up fresh cherries, and it is also a fun and festive dessert to serve at parties. With a few simple tips, you can make the best Cherry Chex dessert ever!
