Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use a combination of sweet and tart apples, such as Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, or Pink Lady.
  • Use fresh, high-quality mayonnaise. Avoid using Miracle Whip or other salad dressings, as they will not give you the same creamy, rich flavor.
  • Toast the walnuts before adding them to the salad. This will enhance their flavor and make them more crunchy.
  • If you don't have any celery on hand, you can use finely diced red onion instead.
  • For a lighter salad, use plain Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise.
  • For a sweeter salad, add a tablespoon or two of honey or maple syrup.
  • For a more savory salad, add a teaspoon or two of Dijon mustard.
  • Serve the salad on a bed of lettuce or spinach for a complete meal.

Conclusion:

Chicken salad with apples and walnuts is a classic recipe that is always a hit. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own personal preferences.
