4 pounds bone-in country-style pork ribs
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon liquid smoke, optional
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Cut ribs into serving-size pieces; place in a 3-qt. microwave-safe dish with water, liquid smoke if desired and onion powder. Cover and microwave on high for 15-20 minutes or until meat is tender., Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5-8 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally. , Drain ribs. Moisten a paper towel with cooking oil; using long-handled tongs, rub on grill rack to coat lightly. 1/2 c soy sauce
1/2 c orange marmalade
1/4 c catsup
2 clove chopped garlic (i use jar minced garlic)
6 to 8 lb country-style pork ribs

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Salt and pepper ribs and place on sheet pan that is covered with foil (easy clean up) and let cook about 10 minutes, turn and let cook 10 minutes on other side. Ribs should be browned a little.
  • 2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, marmalade, catsup and garlic. Brush liberally on both sides of ribs using about half of the sauce. Spray cooker with non-stick spray (if you like) and place ribs in cooker.
  • 3. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. About half way through cooking, about 4 hours, pour remaining sauce over ribs coating well. Continue cooking.
