CHIPOTLE ORANGE GUACAMOLE

Found in the winter 2007 issue of Raley's Something Extra magazine. I used canned mandarin oranges since that's all I had on hand and added a few tablespoons of low fat feta cheese for extra zing.

CHIPOTLE'S GUACAMOLE RECIPE

Chipotle's Guacamole Recipe image

I'm told this is the guacamole from Chipotle's. I'm also told that Haas avocados are the key, but I really have no idea if that's a set in stone fact. I've never had Chipotle's guacamole, as there are none near me, but I have had this, and I sure do like it, no matter who came up with it.

Tips:

  • Select ripe avocados: Use ripe avocados that are slightly soft to the touch. This will ensure a creamy and flavorful guacamole.
  • Use fresh citrus: Fresh orange and lime juice add a bright and tangy flavor to the guacamole. Use freshly squeezed juice for the best results.
  • Add some heat: Chipotle peppers add a smoky and spicy flavor to the guacamole. If you like your guacamole spicy, use more chipotle peppers. You can also add other spicy ingredients like jalapeƱos or cayenne pepper.
  • Don't over-mash the avocados: Mash the avocados until they are mostly smooth, but leave some small chunks for texture. This will give your guacamole a more rustic and chunky texture.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings: Guacamole is delicious on its own, but it's even better when served with your favorite toppings. Some popular options include tortilla chips, grilled chicken, shrimp, or vegetables.

Conclusion:

Chipotle orange guacamole is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack. It's perfect for parties, potlucks, or just a casual get-together with friends. With its smoky, spicy, and tangy flavor, chipotle orange guacamole is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
