Indulge in the delectable goodness of homemade chocolate-rich delights with easy-to-make chocolate cake bar and chocolate frosting. With a variety of budget- and time-saving tips, these sweet treats will be the stars of your next social event. Here's a closer look at what each recipe entails and how to make the most of them.
Chocolate Cake Bar:
- Begin with the dry ingredients, combining them in a bowl to ensure even distribution.
- In a separate bowl, whisk and mix sugar, butter, and shortening together until smooth. Then, mix in eggs and vanilla.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Your goal is to achieve a well-blended batter but avoid over-beating it.
- Pour the prepared batter into a greased 9x13 inch pan and bake it in the middle of your preheated 350°F (177°C) stove.
- While the cake is in the stove, prepare a simple glaze by stirring cocoa powder, butter, milk, and vanilla in a saucepan until it thickens. Pour it over the baked cake once it's ready and cooled.
Chocolate Frosting:
- Use softened butter, as this significantly simplifies the whole process of creaming elements together.
- Gradually beat in powdered sugar into the softened butter, paying close attention to the texture.
- Add cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla to achieve the perfect balance of taste and spreadable texture.
Conclusion:
When it comes to budget-friendliness, consider homemade frosting over store-bought options and replace high-priced chocolate with cocoa powder. Additionally, you can customize the size of the bars and save the remaiing batter. For time-saving, pre-bake the cake bar batter and store it in the freezer for later assembly. These delectable chocolatey treats are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored for later consumption. Delight your taste buds and impress others with these delightful delicacies.
