CHOCOLATE-PEANUT BUTTER COBBLER

CHOCOLATE-PEANUT BUTTER COBBLER image

Categories     Cake

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
6 TBSP hot cocoa powder (cocoa mix), divided
1 cup sugar, divided
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup Peanut Butter
6 TBSP melted unsalted butter
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup brown sugar, loosely packed
1-½ cup hot tap water

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, 3 tablespoons hot cocoa powder, and 1/2 cup of white sugar. Stir in milk, peanut butter, butter, and vanilla. Mixture will be thick like the texture of a brownie mix. Spread mixture into an ungreased 8-inch baking dish with a spatula and even out the batter. I used an 8-8-inch pan and that worked great. In a small bowl, mix 1/2 cup white sugar, brown sugar, and remaining cocoa. Sprinkle mixture evenly over the batter. Pour the hot water over everything and do not stir. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the center is slightly firm but not fluid like liquid. Spoon mixture into small bowls (it’s very rich…a little goes a long way) and serve with a scoop of chocolate peanut butter ice cream.

CHOCOLATE COBBLER

Chocolate cobbler image

A wonderful chocolate delight that I recipe that I got from my sister. Serve warm with ice cream and they will beg for more, I know I did!!!

Provided by Tim Parker

Categories     Desserts

Time 45m

Number Of Ingredients 7

6 Tbsp butter
1 c self rising flour
1 3/4 c sugar seperated
1 1/3 c cocoa powder unsweetened seperated
1/2 c milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 c boiling water

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350* F. Melt butter in 8x8 baking dish as oven preheats.
  • 2. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together flour, 3/4 cup of sugar, and 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa. Add milk and vanilla, stir until smooth. Spoon batter over melted butter in baking dish.
  • 3. Stir remaining sugar and cocoa together. Sprinlke over batter. Slowly pour boiling water over the top of mixture
  • 4. Bake for 30 minutes until set. Serve warm with ice cream.

Tips:

  • Choose the right chocolate. Use a high-quality, semisweet or bittersweet chocolate for the best flavor. If you use a chocolate with a lower cocoa content, the cobbler may be too sweet.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing will make the cobbler tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Use a hot oven. A hot oven will help the cobbler rise and brown properly. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit before baking the cobbler.
  • Serve the cobbler warm. Chocolate cobbler is best served warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. You can also reheat the cobbler in the oven or microwave until it is warmed through.

Conclusion:

Chocolate cobbler is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a cobbler that is sure to please everyone at the table. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give chocolate cobbler a try.
