Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate. The quality of the chocolate you use will greatly impact the flavor of your snappers. Look for chocolate with a high cocoa content (at least 70%) and a smooth, rich flavor.
  • Tempering the chocolate is essential. This process ensures that the chocolate is smooth and shiny and has a stable texture. If you don't temper the chocolate, it will be more likely to seize and become grainy.
  • Don't overheat the chocolate. Overheating the chocolate can cause it to burn and seize. Be careful not to let the chocolate get too hot, or it will be difficult to work with.
  • Use a variety of toppings. There are endless possibilities when it comes to toppings for chocolate snappers. Some popular options include nuts, dried fruits, candy, and spices. Get creative and experiment with different combinations to find your favorites.
  • Let the snappers cool completely before serving. This will help them to set and firm up. You can store the snappers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
