Steps:
- Line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment, leaving a 1-inch overhang. Mix together the egg white, confectioners' sugar and cocoa in a bowl with a fork until smooth and very thick. (The mixture should hang on the fork in a blob without falling off.) Whisk in the vanilla and vinegar. Whisk in enough food coloring to turn the mixture a deep black color and the brown of the cocoa is no longer visible, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon.
- Combine the granulated sugar and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan and stir until the mixture looks like wet sand. Using a wet pastry brush, wipe down the sides of the pot where any sugar has clung to the side. Cook over medium heat until the mixture registers 258 to 260 degrees F on a candy thermometer, 8 to 10 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and immediately stir in the black mixture, stirring vigorously until smooth. Spread in the prepared pan and let harden and cool completely, about 2 hours.
- Lift the candy out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang as handles. Peel off the parchment and chip into small irregular-sized pieces using a chisel or a sturdy butter knife and rubber mallet.

Steps:
- Start with cardboard cut into 5" wide by 18" long. Wrap it with foil and tape foil to the back.
- Set a yardstick down the middle and mark it with a pen along each long side for the full length.
- Pipe the 2 lines with canned frosting.
- Take 5 of the unwrapped candybars and use frosting to glue on the green and red M&Ms as wheels.
- 1" from the end, place the orange slice, gluing it down with some frosting. This will be the cow catcher.
- Place 1 of the candy bars with "wheels" (and some frosting for glue underneath it)butting it up next to the orange slice. Push down slightly for frosting to hold.
- Take off wrapper from lifesavers, and open 1 end and remove some candies so that it is the same length as the candy bar. Cut off the excess wrapper leaving enough foil to fold over.
- Pipe a line of frosting down center of 1st candy bar and then press down foil covered lifesavers (make sure that cut end is facing away from the orange slice.).
- Put frosting on end of lifesavers foil(above orange slice, cow catcher)press on the yellow m&m as a light.
- Pipe some frosting directly on foil base behind 1st candy bar and on the end (away from orange slice)and now press the foil santa's feet into the frosting on the base and his belly onto the back of the candy bar & lifesafers.
- Leave about 1.5 inches and put down the next candy car and then 1.5" space then the next and so forth until all 5 candy bar "cars" have been placed and look centered on the foil base.
- On the second car, frost the top and then place 3 tootsie roll midgees to look like logs, using frosting to hold them.
- On third car, frost the top and then stick the 2 lollipops into it with them both facing forward.
- On the forth car, frost the top and then stick on the starbrite candies on their sides facing each other with a dap of frosting between them to help them stand up.
- on the fifth car, frost the top and then push down the foil wrapped candies.

CANDY TRAIN
This is a fun thing to make with your kids, and hand out at Christmas time. NOTE: You will need a hot-glue gun. **Sorry for not being sure about some of the weights like with the gum. I searched forever looking for it but couldn't find it and they wouldn't let me post without a weight. Altough there was no need for a weight...**

Steps:
- Glue the roll of Lifesavers candy to the pack or gum.
- Glue the peppermint candies on each side to make the wheels.
- Glue the Hershey's Kiss on the top-end of the Lifesavers to make the train smokestack.
- On the other end of the train glue a Rollo candy to make the engineer's room - glue a small candy on top for the roof (use a Starburst candy or mini chocolate bar).
- Take your mini Hershey's bar and run a glue the entire length and place on back end of the Candy Train.
Tips:
- Choose the right candy: Use candies that are easy to work with and that will hold their shape well. Some good options include candy melts, chocolate chips, and gummy bears.
- Prepare your work surface: Cover your work surface with wax paper or parchment paper to prevent the candy from sticking. You may also want to spray the paper with cooking spray for extra insurance.
- Work quickly: Candy melts and chocolate chips can set up quickly, so it's important to work quickly when you're melting and molding them. If the candy starts to get too thick, you can add a little bit of vegetable oil to thin it out.
- Be creative: Don't be afraid to experiment with different candy combinations and decorations. You can also use cookie cutters to create fun shapes.
- Have fun: Making candy is a great way to get creative and have some fun. So relax, enjoy the process, and let your imagination run wild!
Conclusion:
Making candy trains is a fun and easy way to get into the holiday spirit. With a little creativity, you can create a candy train that is sure to impress your friends and family. So gather your supplies, choose your favorite candy, and get started!
