1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1-1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 large egg, room temperature, beaten
1/3 cup canola oil
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup honey
1 cup chopped walnuts
ICING:
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon water
2 tablespoons honey

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine flours, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder and baking soda. In another bowl, combine egg, oil, applesauce and honey. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in walnuts., Spread batter into a 13x9-in. baking pan coated with cooking spray. 4 eggs

1 cup corn syrup
