CINNAMON TOAST SPREAD
One of my former students submitted this for a class cookbook, several years ago. It is to be spread onto toast, after cooking, but it also works to spread it on, beforehand, and lightly broil the French bread slices. Decadent!

Tips:
- Use a quality cinnamon: The type of cinnamon you use will make a big difference in the flavor of your spread. Ceylon cinnamon is considered to be the best type of cinnamon for its sweet, delicate flavor. However, it can be more expensive than other types of cinnamon.
- Toast your bread before spreading: Toasting your bread before spreading it with cinnamon spread will help to create a crispy texture and prevent the spread from making the bread soggy.
- Add other spices: For a more complex flavor, you can add other spices to your cinnamon spread. Nutmeg, ginger, and allspice are all good choices.
- Use different sweeteners: If you don't like the taste of honey, you can use another sweetener in your cinnamon spread. Maple syrup, agave nectar, and coconut sugar are all good alternatives.
- Get creative with your toppings: You can top your cinnamon spread toast with a variety of toppings, such as sliced bananas, berries, nuts, or whipped cream.
Conclusion:
Cinnamon spread is a delicious and versatile topping for toast, pancakes, waffles, and other breakfast foods. It's easy to make and can be customized to your own taste preferences. With so many different variations, there's sure to be a cinnamon spread recipe that everyone will enjoy.
