BBQ COCA-COLA PORK CHOPS -- CROCKPOT RECIPE - (4/5)

BBQ Coca-Cola Pork Chops -- Crockpot Recipe - (4/5) image

Provided by teachskinner

Number Of Ingredients 3

4 boneless center cut pork chops
1/2 bottle Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce (9 oz.)
12 oz Coca-Cola (1 can)

Steps:

  • Pour 6 oz. of Coca-Cola (3/4 cup) into bottom of Crockpot Place pork Chops in Crockpot, and cook on LOW for 4 hours, covered. After 4 hours, drain juices from Crockpot. Mix together remaining Coca-Cola (6 oz) and BBQ sauce in small bowl. Pour mixture over pork chops and cook on HIGHH for 30 more minutes, until well done.

Tips:

  • To ensure tender and flavorful pork chops, choose thick-cut, bone-in chops. The bone helps retain moisture and flavor during cooking.
  • The secret to a crispy and golden-brown crust is to sear the pork chops over high heat. Be sure to pat the chops dry before searing to help create a nice crust.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure the pork chops are cooked to your desired doneness. For medium-rare, cook to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). For medium, cook to 160°F (71°C). And for well-done, cook to 170°F (77°C).
  • Don't overcrowd the pan when searing the pork chops. If the pan is too crowded, the chops will steam instead of sear.
  • Rest the pork chops for a few minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in more tender and flavorful chops.

Conclusion:

This collection of Coca-Cola pork chop recipes offers a variety of flavors and cooking methods to suit any taste. Whether you prefer a classic Southern-style dish or something more unique and adventurous, you're sure to find a recipe that you'll love.
