THE BEST VINEGAR COLESLAW
We love the zippiness that a vinegar-based dressing brings to this coleslaw, making it the perfect partner for rich, meaty dishes like pulled pork or ribs. Cabbage can take lots of seasoning and lots of vinegar, so don't be bashful. But the real secret to this colorful coleslaw is the marinating time - a long trip to the fridge softens up the veggies and gives them time to absorb the flavors of the vinaigrette. A drizzle of olive oil at the end balances the acidity.

TRIPLE FRUIT COLESLAW
A sweet & sour version of coleslaw that has been a big hit with my family & friends. I found this recipe in my local newspaper and adjusted it a bit to meet our needs. Prepared recipe makes about 12 servings. **Update 2/10** Once I read the review I realized I should have stated that due to the fruits within this coleslaw - it truly does not store well after 2 days. Adjust servings as needed to meet your needs.

Tips:
- Choose the right cabbage. Green cabbage is the most common type of cabbage used in coleslaw, but you can also use red cabbage or a combination of both. Red cabbage will give your coleslaw a beautiful purple color.
- Shred the cabbage thinly. This will help the cabbage absorb the dressing better and make the coleslaw more tender.
- Use a variety of fruits. The most popular fruits used in coleslaw are carrots, apples, and raisins, but you can also use other fruits such as pineapple, mango, or strawberries. Choose fruits that are crisp and sweet.
- Make the dressing ahead of time. This will allow the flavors to meld and develop. You can store the dressing in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Toss the coleslaw just before serving. This will help prevent the cabbage from becoming soggy.
