Tips:

  • Ensure the butter and cream cheese are at room temperature before beginning, as this will make them easier to mix and cream together.
  • Use a stand mixer or hand mixer to cream the butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy. This will help incorporate air into the mixture, making the cookie dough lighter and airier.
  • Gradually add the sugar to the creamed butter and cream cheese mixture, mixing until well combined. Do not overmix.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Avoid overmixing.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and peanut butter chips until evenly distributed.
  • Scoop the cookie dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake the cookies at 350°F for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to brown.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
