- Beat the brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter, yogurt and vanilla with an electric mixer on medium-high speed in a large bowl until well combined, about 2 minutes. Steps:
- Great recipe for bacon candy! http://www.food.com/recipe/brown-sugar-bacon-candy-326739.
- Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment or wax paper.
- Using a large standing mixer, cream the butter and the sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the condensed milk and maple syrup and beat until well-mixed, then add the flour and salt and beat on low until combined. Stir in bacon.
- Using a small scoop or a teaspoon, scoop up small round balls of the dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Refrigerate for one hour. Remove from fridge and roll into balls. Place back in fridge for another hour.
- Melt chocolate in double boiler, in the microwave or, as I prefer, in a Crock Pot on low. Dip balls one at a time and coat evenly. [I tried dumping a bunch in the Crock Pot at once but they get soft fast. Alternatively, you could put the balls in the freezer for a few minutes before dipping first so they get good and cold.] Remove them with a fork and tap against the side of the pot to remove any excess chocolate. Place back on baking sheet and top with a piece of candied bacon, if desired.
- Put truffles back in fridge until firm. Store in fridge. Enjoy!

COOKIE DOUGH TRUFFLES RECIPE
These have become a Christmas tradition at our home! We have finally perfected it to our taste! We usually add more then 1/2 cup of mini morsels, but the sprinkling of sea salt on top is what pushes these over the edge! Even my picky daughter (who I started this tradition with) LOVES the addition of the salt.

COOKIE DOUGH TRUFFLES
This was a tear off recipe from a magazine (shhhhh). I've been making this recipe for quite a few years... I alway's include them in my Christmas cookie platters and have requests to bring to functions throughout the year as well. They look so pretty on a platter!! We have to "force" ourselves not to eat the entire dough before...

Steps:
- 1. Using either your stand up mixer or bowl and hand mixer, beat butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Add your vanilla, then alternate adding your flour with the sweetest condensed milk. Once incorporated dough should be pretty thick. Turn off mixer.
- 2. Stir the nuts and mini chocolate chips in. Using your cookie scoop (or your hands), make into balls and place truffles onto a cookie sheet lined with either wax paper or a silicon mat. Chill in refridgerator for 1-1/2 - 2 hours or till very firm.
- 3. Using a small crockpot, melt your chocolate candies. Dip your truffle dough into the melted chocolate candy using either mini tongs or toothpicks. Place the dipped wet truffles on wax paper lined racks to set. Sprinkle whatever decoration you prefer on the truffles before they firm up. For Christmas I love the little snowflakes or snowmen!! (in the picture posted I sprinkled them with white course sugar). Once truffles have firmed up, place in mini candy liners for a very, very pretty effect!! **Note** You can use your microwave to melt the chocolate candies as well. Melt chocolate candy in 15-20 second increments, making sure to stir very well in between. You can reheat if chocolate candy is starting to harden.
Tips:
- Use high-quality chocolate chips for the best flavor.
- Chill the cookie dough truffles for at least 30 minutes before dipping them in chocolate. This will help them hold their shape.
- If you don't have a piping bag, you can use a Ziploc bag with the corner snipped off.
- Be careful when dipping the cookie dough truffles in chocolate. The chocolate can be hot, so it's best to use a fork or tongs.
- Place the dipped cookie dough truffles on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. This will make it easy to transfer them to the refrigerator.
- Chill the dipped cookie dough truffles for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will help the chocolate set.
Conclusion:
Cookie dough truffles are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They're perfect for parties, potlucks, or just a sweet snack. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create these delicious treats that are sure to be a hit. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give cookie dough truffles a try!
