2 1/2 teaspoons sesame seeds
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 clove garlic, minced
6 ears fresh corn, shucked and kernels cut off the cobs (about 4 cups)
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons fresh basil chiffonade

Steps:

  • Lightly toast the sesame seeds in a large skillet over medium heat, taking care not to burn them, 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer to a small bowl and reserve.
  • Return the skillet to medium heat and add the butter and garlic. Saute the garlic as the butter melts, about 2 minutes. Add the corn, salt and pepper to taste.
