NO BAKE PUDDING GRAHAM CRACKER CAKE

No Bake Pudding Graham Cracker Cake image

This cake takes no time to put together , is so light you could eat the entire thing yourself. We stole this recipe from my cousin who guarded with her life for years.

Provided by lunitari601

Categories     Dessert

Time 20m

Yield 1 Cake, 15-25 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 (10 ounce) box honey graham crackers (Not sure of what size box I use just the one with three packages in it, had to put something or it w)
1 (3 1/2 ounce) box instant vanilla pudding
1 (3 1/2 ounce) box instant chocolate pudding mix
4 cups milk
2 pints heavy whipping cream
chocolate syrup, to decorate

Steps:

  • Make both the Vanilla and Chocolate pudding as directed on the box.
  • Take the whipping cream and mix on high speed until it becomes the consistency of cool whip.
  • Mix the whipping cream and the vanilla pudding together.
  • Start layering graham crackers covered with chocolate and vanilla pudding, alternating between the two flavors. I always use a rectangular serving platter.
  • When Chocolate pudding is gone use remaining vanilla pudding mixture to cover the entire cake (just like you were icing it).
  • Drizzle chocolate sauce in lines across the top of the cake(no need to be perfect), take a knife and drag it in the opposite direction of the syrup lines to make a nice patter.
  • Refrigerate the entire cake at least 3 hours.
  • The graham crackers will absorb the moister from the pudding and become soft like cake.
  • Cut on the corner going in to create a neat looking slice.
  • Good Luck with leftovers because there never is any.

PUDDING AND BERRY TART WITH GRAHAM CRACKER CRUST

Pudding and Berry Tart with Graham Cracker Crust image

Bring this dessert out and your parents might just fall out of their chairs - it looks that good. No one will ever suspect that your main ingredient here is pudding out of a box. But don't get the instant kind - it tastes starchy and grainy - just stick to the "cook and serve" kind. It only takes about four minutes, so it's still a no-brainer. The fresh berries are the crowning jewels of this tart. They are always available in the supermarket but they're a lot cheaper when they're in season in the summer. If you can't find blueberries or strawberries you can substitute with a pint of fresh raspberries. The graham cracker crust is also as easy as it gets but it's a great complement for the custard and berries. You don't need a fancy tart pan for this. If you have one, great, otherwise just grab a large aluminum pie pan from the supermarket. They get the job done and come in handy for other desserts, so don't throw them away.

Categories     dessert

Time 5h30m

Yield 8 servings

Number Of Ingredients 8

12 whole graham crackers
3/4 stick (6 tablespoons) butter
3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
2 (3.4-ounce) packages "cook and serve" vanilla pudding
Milk (according to pudding package instructions)
1 pint fresh strawberries
1/2 pint fresh blueberries
1/2 pint fresh blackberries or raspberries

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • For the crust: crumble the graham crackers by hand or with a potato masher to get fine crumbs. Heat the butter in a saucepan or microwave until half-melted. Work the butter into the crumbs with your fingertips until the crumbs look like wet sand. Using your fingertips, press the crust into a 9-inch pie plate or disposable aluminum pie pan to make an even layer over the bottom and sides of the pan. Bake until the crust is a shade darker, about 12 minutes, and let cool completely.
  • Make the pudding according to the package directions. Let stand about 5 to 10 minutes stirring occasionally to keep a skin from forming on the top of the pudding.
  • Use a spoon or rubber spatula to scrape the pudding into the graham cracker shell and smooth it into an even layer. Put the tart in the refrigerator until the pudding is chilled and set, at least 1 hour.
  • Meanwhile, cut the stems off the strawberries and wash with the other berries in a colander under cold water. Drain then spread out on paper towel to dry. You can either arrange the berries nicely over the pudding or just sort of gently tumble them onto it. Cover the tart lightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate. You can make the tart up to 4 hours in advance. Serve cold.

GRAHAM CRACKER PUDDING

Graham Cracker Pudding image

This cool and creamy no-bake dessert is so good. With all its layers, this version of an eclair cake reminded us of a graham cracker pudding lasagna. The peanut butter was an added flavor we loved and it also protected the crackers from becoming completely soft. A very thin layer of chocolate pudding on top is the perfect touch....

Provided by Erica Freyer

Categories     Other Desserts

Time 1h

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 box graham cracker
2 box vanilla pudding (large, 5.1 oz each)
1 box chocolate pudding (small, 3.9 oz)
1 jar(s) peanut butter
1 pkg softened Cool Whip (8 oz)

Steps:

  • 1. Go ahead and prepare puddings according to package instructions. Prepare vanilla pudding and set aside.
  • 2. Prepare the chocolate pudding.
  • 3. Next, spread peanut butter on graham crackers. Place the first layer of graham cracker/peanut butter on the bottom of 9x13 pan (peanut butter side up).
  • 4. Then spread 1/3 of the vanilla pudding on top of that.
  • 5. Then spread a layer of Cool Whip (works best if soft) on top of vanilla pudding.
  • 6. Continue layering in order as above.
  • 7. Layer until there's just enough room to spread chocolate pudding on top as a finish (use chocolate pudding to top the dessert only).
  • 8. Crush remaining graham crackers. Sprinkle them over the chocolate pudding for garnish.
  • 9. Refrigerate 1-2 hrs or until graham crackers are soft.
  • 10. You can use any flavor graham cracker you wish and honestly whatever flavor pudding you wish. I have used cinnamon crackers with cream cheese pudding and it was great. Whatever you prefer.
  • 11. You can also make your puddings from scratch with this recipe if it's what you prefer. But that requires more effort and time so this is the quick version.

BANANA PUDDING WITH GRAHAM-CRACKER CRUNCH

Banana Pudding With Graham-Cracker Crunch image

Make and share this Banana Pudding With Graham-Cracker Crunch recipe from Food.com.

Provided by gailanng

Categories     Dessert

Time 30m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup graham cracker crumbs
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/3 cup milk chocolate chips, melted
4 bananas, sliced
5 1/8 ounces instant vanilla pudding, prepared and chilled (can sub 1 Large Sized Box of Cook & Serve or Your Own Recipe)
1 cup cold heavy cream, whipped to firm peaks with 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Butter a baking sheet. In a medium bowl, stir the graham-cracker crumbs and melted butter together. Press the crumb mixture onto the baking sheet in a circle that is approximately 8 inches in diameter. Bake for 8 minutes. Set aside to cool.
  • Use a small spoon to drizzle the melted chocolate chips thickly over the baked crumbs on the baking sheet. Let the crunch sit until the chocolate is firm. [The chocolate holds the crunch together in large pieces so it does not crumble when it is transferred to the pudding. I always have a problem with this step, but if it crumbles it doesn't alter the flavor :-)].
  • In the bottom of a 2-quart serving bowl, spread 1/2 of the banana slices. Spread about 1/2 of the pudding over the bananas and sprinkle about 1/3 of the graham crunch (breaking it up with a spatula as you transfer it) over the pudding. Repeat the layering once.
  • Spread the whipped cream over the crunch and sprinkle with the remaining crunch. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight and serve cold.

Provided by peggy kriebel

Categories     Puddings

Time 1h15m

Number Of Ingredients 7

bag(s) 1 quart milk
2 egg yolks
2/3 cup sugar
2 cups saltines
1 cup grated coconut
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten

Steps:

  • 1. In a heavy three quart pot or dutch oven, heat the milk almost to the boiling point.
  • 2. In a bowl, beat the egg yolks and sugar together until frothy and light. Gradually add to the hot milk. Reduce heat to medium.
  • 3. Crumble the crackers into the milk.(one pkg of crackers makes two cups). Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.
  • 4. Add the coconut and stir until the pudding bubbles thickly.
  • 5. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Fold in your egg whites.

Tips:

  • Selecting the right crackers: Choose crackers that are sturdy enough to hold their shape when soaked in milk or water. Good options include graham crackers, saltine crackers, or Ritz crackers.
  • Soaking the crackers: Be sure to soak the crackers for the amount of time specified in the recipe. This will help them soften and absorb the flavors of the other ingredients.
  • Adding flavor: Don't be afraid to experiment with different flavors. You can add spices, extracts, or even fruit to your cracker pudding. For example, you could try adding cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, or chopped berries.
  • Chilling the pudding: Chilling the pudding before serving will help it set and make it more firm. You can chill it for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  • Serving suggestions: Cracker pudding can be served on its own, or with a variety of toppings. Some popular toppings include whipped cream, ice cream, fruit, or nuts.

Conclusion:

Cracker pudding is a classic comfort food that is easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With its simple ingredients and endless flavor possibilities, it's a great dessert to have on hand for any occasion. Whether you're looking for a quick and easy weeknight dessert or a special treat for a holiday gathering, cracker pudding is sure to please.
