CRANBERRY CHILI SAUCE WITH MEATBALLS & RICE

CRANBERRY CHILI SAUCE WITH MEATBALLS & RICE image

Categories     Beef

Yield 6 to 8 People

Number Of Ingredients 6

[1] 12 ounce bottle of chili sauce [you can find this near the ketchup & mustard]
1 can 16 ounce whole cranberry sauce [not the jellied]
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice
Prepared Rice as directed
Preapred Frozen meatballs as directed

Steps:

  • I place premade [frozen] meatballs in 9x13 baking dish and cook according to directions. Meanwhile I prepare minute rice according to stove top directions & let sit. Then in another pan I mix the ingredients for the sauce in a pan and cook until like sauce consistancy & let sit. Then when the meatballs are done pour the sauce over the top of them and cook for another 5 minutes. Serve over rice.

Tips:

  • Prep the ingredients beforehand: Chop the vegetables, mince the garlic and ginger, and measure out the spices and sauce ingredients before you start cooking. This will help the cooking process go much smoother.
  • Use ripe cranberries: Fresh, ripe cranberries will give the sauce a sweeter, more vibrant flavor. If you can't find fresh cranberries, frozen cranberries will work just as well.
  • Don't overcook the meatballs: The meatballs should be cooked through but still moist and tender. Overcooking will make them tough and dry.
  • Adjust the spiciness to your taste: If you like your chili sauce on the spicier side, add more chili powder or cayenne pepper. If you prefer a milder sauce, reduce the amount of these spices.
  • Serve with your favorite sides: Cranberry chili sauce with meatballs pairs well with rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes. You can also serve it as a dip with crackers or tortilla chips.

Conclusion:

This recipe for Cranberry Chili Sauce with Meatballs is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed all year round. The sweet and tangy cranberry sauce pairs perfectly with the savory meatballs, and the rice makes it a hearty and satisfying meal. Whether you're serving it for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion, this recipe is sure to be a hit.
