EASY ORANGE CRANBERRY GLAZE

Easy Orange Cranberry Glaze image

A good, easy, yummy glaze that can be used on chicken or turkey. I came up with this a few years ago for Thanksgiving, to change up the old boring turkey. Everyone loved it. There was no left-over turkey that year.

1 cup orange juice
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
1 (16 ounce) can jellied cranberry sauce

Steps:

  • Mix together the orange juice, brown sugar, and cranberry sauce in a saucepan, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil, drop in the cinnamon stick, and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook, stirring frequently, until the cranberry sauce is melted and the glaze is hot and bubbling, about 10 minutes.

Tips:

- Choose a ripe brie cheese. A ripe brie will have a soft, creamy texture and a mild flavor. - Use a sharp knife to score the top of the brie. This will help the glaze to penetrate the cheese. - Bake the brie in a preheated oven until it is melted and bubbly. This will take about 15 minutes. - Serve the brie immediately with crackers, bread, or fruit. - For a more festive presentation, wrap the brie in puff pastry before baking. - To make a sweeter glaze, add more sugar to the recipe. - For a more tart glaze, add more orange juice to the recipe. - You can also add other ingredients to the glaze, such as spices, nuts, or dried fruit. - If you don't have a baking dish, you can bake the brie in a cast-iron skillet.

Cranberry orange glazed brie is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion.
