Tips:

  • Select the ripest cranberries and strawberries: Look for bright red, plump cranberries and strawberries that are free of blemishes. Avoid any fruits that are bruised or soft.
  • Wash the cranberries and strawberries thoroughly: Rinse the cranberries and strawberries under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Be sure to remove the stems from the strawberries before washing.
  • Use a food processor or blender to puree the strawberries: This will help to create a smooth sauce. If you don't have a food processor or blender, you can mash the strawberries with a fork.
  • Add the cranberries, sugar, and water to a saucepan: Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the cranberries have softened and burst.
  • Add the pureed strawberries and lemon juice: Stir to combine. Bring the mixture back to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for an additional 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the sauce cool: The sauce will continue to thicken as it cools.
  • Store the sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks: You can also freeze the sauce for up to 6 months.

Conclusion:

Cranberry Strawberry Sauce is a delicious and versatile condiment that can be used to enhance the flavor of a variety of dishes.
