Steps:
- Crumble the ground beef into a large deep skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir until evenly browned. Drain most of the grease, leaving just enough to coat the pan. Add the onions, and cook for a few more minutes.
- Pour 4 cups of the milk into the pan, and stir to scrape up any bits of food that could burn on the bottom of the pan. Mix in the bouillon, butter, sage, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, and cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Mix the flour into the last cup of milk until smooth. Slowly pour into the skillet, stirring constantly. Simmer for a few minutes to thicken. If the gravy is too thick, thin with a little bit of milk. If it is too thin, simmer longer, or add more flour. Taste and adjust seasonings before serving.

Simple, flavorful hamburger recipe that my husband loves. Ketchup is the binder so no egg is required. They hold together very well. I bake them in the oven and they come out perfect every time! I serve these with a slice of cheese melted on top. Top as desired.

DAD'S HALF-HAMBURGERS
A Ground beef mixture that is spread on both halves of a hamburger bun, broiled, and served open faced. Half Hamburgers come from my childrens' Dad's family. It's a mixture of all the things you'd probably put in/on a hamburger, spread on the halves of the hamburger buns. It's so easy that kids can make it, although they'll need adult help with the broiling. Men love it too, so it would be great for a poker game or Superbowl party. Get "moosh-ing" and enjoy!

Steps:
- 1 Cook pasta as directed on box.
- 2 Meanwhile, brown ground beef with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
- 3 Drain grease and add sauce.
- 4 Heat.
- 5 Drain pasta and add to sauce mixture.
- 6 Stir in cheese until it just melts.
- 7 Serve with garlic bread and salad.
- My Tip's: The only thing I added was a little bit of chopped onion when I brown the beef. I used a bit less pasta and a bit more beef (approx 25%). I used 1 cup cheddar cheese and 1/3 cup of cottage cheese to make it creamy at the end. It was twice as yummy the next day for lunch. This was a quick, easy recipe that I will be working into my OAMC routine. Today, I added garlic and chopped onion to the hamburg, like always. Next time, I will use half the pasta called for and will use my usual mix of basil and oregano in place of the italian seasonings.

DAD'S COLA BURGERS
Before you hand out the drinks, save a little soda to make these burgers. Cola helps soften the texture and kick up the flavor. Used in the meat mixture and brushed on during cooking, it takes this football favorite to another level. -Emily Nelson, Green Bay, Wisconsin

Tips:
- Choose high-quality ground beef: The quality of the ground beef is key to making delicious hamburgers. Look for ground beef that is made from fresh, high-quality beef and has a fat content of at least 20%.
- Season the ground beef simply: Don't overcomplicate the seasoning of the ground beef. A simple combination of salt, pepper, and garlic powder is all you need.
- Form the hamburger patties gently: Don't overwork the ground beef when forming the hamburger patties. Overworking the beef will make the burgers tough.
- Cook the burgers over medium heat: Cooking the burgers over medium heat will help them to cook evenly and prevent them from drying out.
- Don't flip the burgers too often: Flipping the burgers too often will also make them tough. Only flip the burgers once, when they are cooked about halfway through.
- Let the burgers rest before serving: Letting the burgers rest for a few minutes before serving will help them to retain their juices and flavor.
