Steps:
- In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine 1 1/4 cups confectioners' sugar, margarine, salt, and vanilla, scraping down the sides of the bowl with a spatula as necessary.
- Add rice milk and continue mixing until well combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl with a spatula, as necessary. With the mixer running, slowly add remaining 1/2 cup confectioners sugar, mix until well combined. Store in an airtight container, refrigerated, up to one week.
Tips:
- Make sure all your ingredients are at room temperature before you start. This will help the frosting come together smoothly.
- If you don't have a stand mixer, you can make this frosting with a hand mixer. Just be sure to use a large bowl so that the frosting doesn't splatter everywhere.
- If you find that the frosting is too thick, you can add a little bit of almond milk or water to thin it out.
- If you want a stiffer frosting, you can add more powdered sugar. Just be careful not to add too much, or the frosting will become too thick and difficult to spread.
- Once the frosting is made, it can be used immediately or stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- When you're ready to use the frosting, be sure to let it come to room temperature first. This will make it easier to spread.
Conclusion:
Dairy-free vanilla frosting is a delicious and versatile frosting that can be used on a variety of desserts. It's easy to make and can be customized to your liking. Whether you're looking for a classic vanilla frosting or something a little more unique, there's a dairy-free vanilla frosting recipe out there for you.
