Tips:

  • Use a flavorful marinade. Dale's Waikiki BBQ Chicken uses a marinade made with a blend of soy sauce, brown sugar, pineapple juice, and garlic. This marinade helps to tenderize the chicken and infuse it with flavor.
  • Cook the chicken over indirect heat. This will help to prevent the chicken from drying out and burning. If you are using a charcoal grill, place the chicken on the grate opposite the coals. If you are using a gas grill, turn off the burner under the chicken.
  • Baste the chicken regularly. This will help to keep the chicken moist and flavorful. Use a brush to apply the marinade to the chicken every few minutes.
  • Cook the chicken until it is cooked through. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit. You can check the internal temperature of the chicken with a meat thermometer.
  • Let the chicken rest before serving. This will help the chicken to retain its juices and flavor.

Conclusion:

Dale's Waikiki BBQ Chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a backyard barbecue or summer party. The chicken is tender, flavorful, and juicy, and the sauce is sweet and tangy. This recipe is sure to be a hit with your friends and family.
