HAM ROLL-UPS
My kids came up with the name for this recipe 30 years ago. It's my favorite way to use ham. The roll-ups are made like cinnamon buns, only they use baking powder biscuit dough.

Steps:
- In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth; stir in the olives and onions.
- Spread over ham slices.
- Roll up, jelly roll style, starting with a short side.
- Chill for at least 1 hour.
- Just before serving, cut into 1 inch pieces.
Tips:
- Choose the right lettuce. Not all lettuces are created equal. For this recipe, you'll want to use a sturdy lettuce that can hold up to the filling, such as romaine or iceberg lettuce.
- Make sure the lettuce leaves are large enough. You'll need to be able to wrap the filling in the lettuce leaves, so make sure they're large enough to do so.
- Slice the ham thinly. This will make it easier to roll up the lettuce leaves.
- Use a variety of fillings. Don't be afraid to get creative with your fillings. You can use anything from cheese and vegetables to meat and seafood.
- Be careful not to overfill the lettuce leaves. If you do, they'll be difficult to roll up and may fall apart.
- Serve the lettuce roll-ups immediately. They're best when they're fresh.
Conclusion:
Lettuce ham roll-ups are a delicious and easy appetizer that can be made with a variety of fillings. They're perfect for parties or potlucks, and they're also a great way to use up leftover ham. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy snack or appetizer, give lettuce ham roll-ups a try.
