SIMPLE GARLIC DIP

Simple Garlic Dip image

This easy garlic dip is one of the first things to disappear at gatherings. No matter what other appetizers are available, this is what people crowd around to eat. Add more or less garlic to taste. We have friends that add so much garlic your mouth burns after a few bites. Great for watching football and at BBQs!

GARLIC LOVERS DIP

Categories     Appetizers & Snacks

Time 9h25m

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 package s Philadelphia Cream Cheese
6-9 cloves garlic
2 teaspoon s garlic powder
2-4 tablespoons pickle juice

Steps:

  • Take the Philadelphia Cream Cheese and put them through the microwave for about 25 seconds. Peel and then run garlic through a garlic press (amount depending on the size of the cloves and how much your friends like garlic) into the warm Philadelphia cream cheese. Add garlic powder and a splash of pickle juice.
  • Then get a big strong spoon and mix and squeeze it all together thoroughly. Keep adding small amounts of pickle juice until you get it a little thinner than necessary as it will harden up a bit when the Philadelphia Cream Cheese cools. (Ideally you want to be able to use a ridged potato chip in the dip without breaking).
  • Put in the refrigerator overnight to ferment and take out about an hour before serving to bring it up to room temperature.

GARLIC LOVERS EASY PEASY CHICKPEA DIP

Garlic Lovers Easy Peasy Chickpea Dip image

A fast dip, great for last minute company. It improves while it sits, but it doesn't need meld time to be ready to serve right away. This recipe was created through improvising on a couple of recipes I found online. ** Garlic lovers only!** The fresh garlic is the prominent flavor in the dip. (If you can't get Old Bay Seasoning in your area, you might want to add some cayenne for a little kick.)

Tips:

  • Try using different types of bread for your crostini. A good crusty bread will help the crostini hold up to the dip.
  • Roast the garlic before using it in the dip. This will help mellow out the flavor and make it more spreadable.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different herbs and spices in your dip. A little bit of cayenne pepper or paprika can add a nice kick of flavor.
  • Serve the dip with a variety of crudités, such as carrot sticks, celery sticks, and cucumber slices. This will give your guests a variety of options to choose from.
  • If you're making the dip ahead of time, be sure to cover it tightly and refrigerate it. The dip will keep for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.

Conclusion:

Garlic lovers, rejoice! These five dip recipes are sure to satisfy your cravings. From a classic roasted garlic dip to a creamy blue cheese and garlic dip, there's something for everyone. So grab a bag of garlic and get cooking!
