I wanted to make something very quick and simple since my kids won't be joining me in my fried avocado meal. Simply add chile flakes, garlic, ginger, and cilantro to make it really pop.

½ cup soy sauce
1 wedge lemon
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
½ teaspoon minced garlic
¼ teaspoon ginger
1 pinch red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • Pour soy sauce into a bowl; squeeze in lemon juice. Stir in honey and olive oil. Add cilantro, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes; stir until well mixed.

Avocados sliced, battered, then deep fried to a golden brown. Yum! Yum!

2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons salt-free herb seasoning blend
1 pinch ground cumin
1 avocado - peeled, pitted and sliced
1 egg, beaten

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a large heavy skillet or deep-fryer to 365 degrees F (180 degrees C).
  • In a small bowl, mix together the flour, seasoning blend and cumin. Place the beaten egg in a shallow dish. Dip avocado slices in beaten egg, and then in the flour mixture. You may repeat the dipping process if you prefer a thicker batter.
  • Fry the coated avocado slices in the hot oil for 3 to 5 minutes, until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towels, and serve hot.

Crunchy outside, creamy inside, our fried avocado wedges are given a zesty edge with wasabi-lime dipping sauce.

1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon wasabi powder
1/2 teaspoon fresh lime juice
1 1/2 cups vegetable or canola oil (or 2 inches oil in skillet)
1/2 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1 egg, beaten
1 cup Progresso™ panko crispy bread crumbs
2 avocados
1/2 teaspoon kosher (coarse) salt

Steps:

  • In 6-oz ramekin or other small dish, mix mayonnaise, wasabi powder and lime juice. Cover; refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • In deep 10-inch skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat to about 350°F.
  • Meanwhile, in 3 separate small shallow bowls, place flour, beaten egg and bread crumbs. Line large plate with kitchen towels.
  • Remove pit and peel from avocados. Cut each avocado into 6 wedges. Dip 1 wedge into flour to coat; tap off excess. Dip into beaten egg to coat, then coat with bread crumbs. Continue until all wedges are breaded.
  • In batches, carefully place breaded avocado wedges in hot oil. Fry 30 to 60 seconds on each side or until golden brown.
  • With slotted spoon, carefully remove fried wedges from skillet; place on towel-lined plate. Season with salt. Serve with dipping sauce.

Avocado fries are made with sliced avocado, coated with crispy panko breadcrumbs and air fried until crisp and golden. So easy to make, if you don't have an air fryer you can also bake them!

8 ounces 2 small avocados, peeled, pitted and cut into 16 wedges
1 large egg (lightly beaten)
3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs (I used gluten-free)
1 1/4 teaspoons lime chili seasoning salt (such as Tajin Classic)
1/4 cup 0% Greek Yogurt
3 tablespoons light mayonnaise
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
1/2 teaspoon lime chili seasoning salt (such as Tajin Classic)
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • Preheat the air-fryer 390F degrees.
  • Place egg in a shallow bowl. On another plate, combine panko with 1 teaspoon Tajin.
  • Season avocado wedges with 1/4 teaspoon Tajin. Dip each piece first in egg, and then in panko.
  • Spray both sides with oil then transfer to the air fryer and cook 7 to 8 minutes turning halfway. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
  • Preheat the oven 425F, follow directions above and bake on a sheet pan until golden and crisp, 10 to 15 minutes.
