1 can (#2) Danish Ham
2 Pkgs. (10 ou.) frozen asparagus spears
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1 c. Sour Cream
1 c. grated muenster cheese (4 Ou.)
1/3 c. parmesan cheese
Salt/pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Slice ham 1/4 inch thick -- cook saparagus until tender - drain. Alternate slices of ham and asparagus in greased 2 QT. shallow baking pan. Melt butter and stir in flour gradually. Stir in milk and sr. Cream -- stirring until sauce thickens. Stir in cheese until smooth. Add salt/pepper. Spoon sauce over casserole. Sprinkle top w/ parmesan cheese Bake 400 - 20 - 25 min until top is browned

1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces
1/4 c raisins
1/4 c red wine

Steps:

  • 1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • 2. Sauté garlic in the butter until fragrant. Add the asparagus, cover and cook for 2 minutes.
  • 3. Pour in the wine and add the raisins.
  • 4. Cook uncovered until wine has evaporated and asparagus is tender, about 4 minutes.
