DOLLY PARTON'S COWBOY PORK AND BEANS
Another celebrity recipe from my collection. I have never heard of October beans, but the University of Tennessee has this to say: "Horticultural beans, known as shelly or October beans, are grown on a limited acreage in Tennessee."

DOLLY PARTON'S DUMP CAKE
Found this in a magazine. Easy, delicious, kind of a cross between a cobbler and cake, and only 5 ingredients. Original directions dId not specify size cans and boxes, and use butter, but Recipezaar requires you add sizes of each boxes and cans, which I did, but we use margarine, up to you if you prefer butter or margarine.

- Let rest for 20 minutes before serving.
- This is best served warm.
Tips
- If you don't have canned pork and beans, you can use canned great northern beans or pinto beans. Just rinse and drain them before using.
- To make this recipe in a slow cooker, combine all of the ingredients in the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours.
- If you want a thicker sauce, you can add some cornstarch or flour to the mixture before cooking.
- To make this recipe vegetarian, you can omit the bacon and use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.
- You can also add other vegetables to this recipe, such as chopped onions, peppers, or corn.
