Tips:
- Be precise with your measurements. A precise scale is handy, as inaccurate measuring may lead to subpar results.
- Utilize room-temperature components. When possible, take out components such as eggs and butter from the fridge an hour before you start baking. This results in consistent blending and texture.
- Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing the batter might result in tough cookies. Mix just until the ingredients are properly combined.
- Chill the dough before baking. If you want your cookies to be firm and chewy, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This allows the flavors to develop and makes the dough easier to handle.
- Bake the cookies at the right temperature. The ideal temperature for baking cookies is 350-375°F (175-190°C). This ensures that they bake properly without burning.
- Let the cookies cool completely before storing them. Allowing the cookies to cool entirely before storing them in an airtight container will keep them fresh for longer.
