Steps:
- Start by mixing the dry ingredients together (2 yr. olds love to do the mixing for you!). While they do this you can start melting the butter. Next, mix all the liquid ingredients. Mix the liquid ingredients quickly into the dry ingredients. Seasonal fruits such as blueberries, raspberries, etc., all make excellent additions.
Tips:
- Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the taste of your pancakes.
- Make sure your buttermilk is at room temperature. This will help the pancakes cook evenly.
- Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing will make the pancakes tough.
- Let the batter rest for a few minutes before cooking. This will help the gluten develop and make the pancakes more tender.
- Cook the pancakes over medium heat. This will help them cook evenly and prevent them from burning.
- Flip the pancakes once they start to bubble around the edges.
- Serve the pancakes immediately with your favorite toppings.
Conclusion:
Making pancakes from scratch is a fun and rewarding experience. With a little practice, you can make delicious pancakes that your family and friends will love. So next time you're looking for a delicious breakfast or brunch option, give one of these recipes a try. You won't be disappointed!
