1 tablespoon butter
1/2 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
1 small onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup sour cream
1 cup coarsely chopped fresh spinach
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. Place potatoes in a large saucepan; add water to cover. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cook, uncovered, until tender, 8-12 minutes. 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 ¼ cups milk
1 onion, diced

I do not recommend making it in the oven. Although it can be done successfully, it takes about twice as long to cook using raw potatoes. Using cooked or partially cooked potatoes does not give the sauce a chance to thicken properly. The dish also has a serious tendency to scorch in the oven.
