8 slice bacon, cooked and diced
1 small onion (diced)
2 Tbsp flour
3 Tbsp vinigar
3 Tbsp sugar
2 c water

Tips:

  • Use the right potatoes: Waxy potatoes, such as Yukon Gold or Red Bliss, are the best choice for German potato salad because they hold their shape well when cooked.

  • Don't skimp on the bacon: Bacon adds a delicious smoky flavor to the salad. Use good quality bacon and cook it until it is crispy.
  • Add some fresh herbs: Fresh herbs, such as parsley, chives, or dill, add a nice pop of flavor to the salad.
