HORSERADISH GOAT CHEESE SPREAD

Horseradish Goat Cheese Spread image

An easy, spreadable blend of fresh goat cheese, horseradish, and heavy cream.

Provided by Jeremy Fox

Number Of Ingredients 4

8 ounces (225 grams) soft fresh goat cheese, at room temperature
2 tablespoons heavy (double) cream
2 ounces (60 grams) prepared horseradish
kosher salt

Steps:

  • Using a silicone spatula, gently fold together the goat cheese, cream, and horseradish until thoroughly combined. Season to taste with salt. Cover and refrigerate for up to a week.

Tips:

  • Use fresh horseradish for the best flavor. Fresh horseradish can be found in the produce section of most grocery stores.
  • If you can't find fresh horseradish, you can use prepared horseradish. However, prepared horseradish is typically more pungent than fresh horseradish, so you may want to use less of it.
  • Grate the horseradish finely. This will help it distribute evenly throughout the cheese spread.
  • Use a good quality cream cheese. Cream cheese is the base of the cheese spread, so it's important to use a good quality cheese.
  • If you want a smoother cheese spread, you can beat the cream cheese until it is light and fluffy before adding the other ingredients.
  • Season the cheese spread to taste. You may want to add more horseradish, salt, or pepper to taste.
  • Serve the cheese spread with crackers, vegetables, or bread.

Conclusion:

Horseradish cheese spread is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer. It's perfect for parties, potlucks, or simply enjoying as a snack. With its creamy texture and tangy flavor, horseradish cheese spread is sure to please everyone.
