1 cup shortening
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Cream the sugar, shortening, pumpkin and vanilla together. Mix until light and well combined.
  • Mix the flour, baking soda and ground cinnamon. Stir the flour mixture into the creamed mixture. Mix until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.

2 stick butter, softened
1 c white sugar
1 c brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 can(s) pumpkin puree, 14 ounce
1 tsp baking soda
4 c flour
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 regular bag)

Steps:

  • 1. Cream together butter and sugars until well mixed. Add vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add the pumpkin and stir well.
