Tips:

  • Choose the Right Potatoes: Opt for waxy potatoes like Yukon Gold or Red Bliss, as they hold their shape well in salads.
  • Cook the Potatoes Perfectly: Boil or steam the potatoes until tender but not mushy. Overcooking can make them fall apart.
  • Cool the Potatoes Thoroughly: Before making the salad, let the potatoes cool completely to prevent the mayonnaise from becoming too thin.
  • Use a Creamy Mayonnaise: Select a mayonnaise that's thick and creamy, as it will better coat the potatoes and vegetables.
  • Add Some Tang: Incorporate a bit of vinegar or lemon juice to balance the richness of the mayonnaise.
  • Experiment with Herbs and Spices: Add a pop of flavor with herbs like parsley, chives, or dill, and spices like paprika or garlic powder.
  • Garnish with Fresh Veggies: Top the salad with fresh vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, or radishes for added color and crunch.
