EVERYTHING COOKIES!
This one has a bit of everything I like in a cookie-chocolate, oats, nuts and coconut. A friend of mine gave me a recipe for them, but I made some changes. I find that when you cut sugar, you can actually taste the other ingredients better. I also increased the coconut and oats.

There's lots of spice in this one. A real crowd pleaser too and it makes a lot so I usually freeze half.

When our family gathered at my aunt's summer home on Mackinac Island a few years back, she pulled out her tried-and-true recipe and made these wholesome cookies. I think of her and that memorable vacation every time I make these for my own family.

Tips:
- Choose the right oats: Old-fashioned rolled oats are the best choice for these cookies. They provide a chewy texture and hold their shape well.
- Use a food processor to grind the oats: This will create a finer oat flour that will help the cookies to be more tender.
- Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough will make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough will help the cookies to hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
- Bake the cookies until they are golden brown: The cookies are done baking when they are golden brown around the edges and just set in the center.
- Let the cookies cool completely before serving: The cookies will continue to firm up as they cool.
Conclusion:
These coconut oatmeal cookies are a delicious and healthy snack that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are easy to make and can be customized to your liking. Whether you like them chewy or crispy, with or without raisins, these cookies are sure to please.
