1 tablespoon baking powder
1 (16 ounce) can pie filling (cherry or peach or apple or strawberry)

  • Sweeten the fruit: Most fruits need to be sweetened before they are used in a cobbler. You can use sugar, honey, or maple syrup to sweeten the fruit.
  • Thicken the filling: The filling for a cobbler should be thick enough to hold its shape. You can thicken the filling by adding cornstarch, flour, or tapioca.
  • Use a variety of spices: Spices can add flavor and depth to a cobbler. Some common spices used in cobblers include cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
  • Bake the cobbler until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling: The baking time will vary depending on the type of fruit and the size of the cobbler.
