These are so good, and so easy to make, they don't take more than 15 minutes to make in total, these are extremely addictive, you won't be able to stop eating them lol! You can sub whipping cream for the evaporated milk, I have done this a few times, and it seems to work just fine, also you can use 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup light brown sugar if desired. Just remember to leave the mixture sit in the pot or bowl for about 10 minutes or longer to allow the mixture to firm up. If desired chill the balls firsty and then coat in melted semi-sweet chocolate...YUMMMMMM!

Time 30m

Yield 48 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

1/2 lb butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 (500 g) box graham crackers
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Steps:

  • Boil butter and sugar for three minutes.
  • Spread graham crackers in cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  • Pour butter and sugar mixture over graham crackers.
  • Top with chopped nuts.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • One box of graham crackers makes 2 batches.

Tips:

  • Use fresh graham crackers: Stale graham crackers will not hold together as well and will result in a crumbly candy ball.
  • Do not overcook the sugar mixture: Overcooked sugar will be too hard and will not be able to be formed into balls.
  • Work quickly: The sugar mixture will start to harden as it cools, so it is important to work quickly to form the candy balls.
  • Use a variety of toppings: You can use any type of topping you like, such as chocolate chips, nuts, or sprinkles.
  • Store the candy balls in an airtight container at room temperature: The candy balls will keep for up to 2 weeks.

Conclusion:

Graham cracker candy balls are a fun and easy no-bake treat that is perfect for any occasion. They are also a great way to use up leftover graham crackers. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a delicious and festive treat that everyone will love.
