Number Of Ingredients 6

2 pounds boneless country-style ribs, or more as desired
¼ teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
salt and ground black pepper to taste

2 cups barbeque sauce (such as Famous Dave's®)
1 cup beef broth

Steps:

  • Season ribs with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Place a layer of onion in the bottom of a pressure cooker. Add a layer of ribs. Repeat with remaining onion and ribs.
  • Combine barbeque sauce and broth together in a bowl; pour over ribs in the pressure cooker.
  • Close cooker securely and place pressure regulator over vent according to manufacturer's instructions. Heat until steam escapes in a steady flow and makes a whistling sound, about 5 minutes. Adjust heat until regulator is gently rocking. Cook for 25 minutes. Transfer the pressure cooker to the sink; cool the pot with cold water for about 30 seconds to release pressure quickly.

PRESSURE COOKER SAUCY BABY BACK RIBS - FAST & EASY

Pressure Cooker Saucy Baby Back Ribs - Fast & Easy image

These ribs cook up fast and the meat melts in your mouth! I've only used beef ribs, my husband's preference, but you certainly could substitute pork ribs. The nutritional values would change. I adapted this recipe from a favorite slow cooker recipe. These are very saucy ribs, messy and delicious! My husband calls them AWESOME!

Tips:

  • Choose the right ribs: Baby back ribs or spare ribs are the best choices for pressure cooking. They cook quickly and become fall-off-the-bone tender.
  • Season the ribs well: A simple rub of salt, pepper, and garlic powder is a great starting point. You can also add other spices, such as paprika, cumin, or chili powder, to taste.
  • Use a flavorful liquid: Broth, beer, or wine can all be used to add flavor to the ribs. You can also add vegetables, such as onions, carrots, and celery, to the pot for extra flavor.
  • Cook the ribs on high pressure: This will help them cook quickly and evenly. The cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the ribs, but a good rule of thumb is to cook them for 20-30 minutes per pound.
  • Let the ribs rest before serving: This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, making them even more tender and delicious.

Conclusion:

Pressure cooking ribs is a quick and easy way to get fall-off-the-bone tender ribs. With a little planning and preparation, you can have a delicious and satisfying meal in no time. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy weeknight meal, give pressure cooker ribs a try. You won't be disappointed!
