FRESH FRUIT WITH CREAMY GRAND MARNIER SAUCE

Fresh Fruit With Creamy Grand Marnier Sauce image

This is just to die for!! I've never served this without someone wanting the recipe, but more than that, they want to take leftovers home! (That's why I always make a double batch!). It's a simple make-ahead sauce and can be used for dessert or breakfast. It's a great presentation when served in a wine or martini glass. I got this recipe from Bon Appetit magazine in 1995.

FRESH FRUIT WITH CREAMY GRAND MARNIER SAUCE.

This is fabulous!. I used cantaloupe, honeydew and red grapes when I took the photo. I've made this with Kahlua as well and that is also yummy. This is not limited to only fruit and berries either. Try it on pancakes, unfrosted cake or as a dip for example.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, ripe fruit: The quality of your sauce will depend on the quality of your fruit. Choose fruit that is fresh, ripe, and free of blemishes.
  • Wash and prepare your fruit properly: Before using your fruit, wash it thoroughly to remove any dirt or bacteria. If necessary, peel and core your fruit.
  • Use a variety of fruits: Don't be afraid to experiment with different fruits to create unique and flavorful sauces. You can use a single type of fruit or a combination of fruits.
  • Add other ingredients to taste: In addition to fruit, you can add other ingredients to your sauce to enhance its flavor. Common additions include sugar, honey, lemon juice, spices, and herbs.
  • Cook your sauce over low heat: When cooking your sauce, be sure to keep the heat on low. This will help to prevent the fruit from burning and will allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Let your sauce cool before serving: Once your sauce is cooked, let it cool slightly before serving. This will allow the flavors to develop and will make the sauce easier to handle.

Conclusion:

Fresh fruit sauces are a delicious and versatile way to add flavor to your favorite dishes. They can be used as a topping for pancakes, waffles, and French toast, or as a filling for pies, tarts, and cakes. They can also be used as a marinade for chicken, fish, and pork. With so many different ways to use them, fresh fruit sauces are a great addition to any kitchen.
