EASY "FRESH" SALSA
I asked for this recipe at a party 20 years ago, and I've been making it ever since! I always feel a little guilty when people ask for the recipe, because it's so easy!!! The addition of the cilantro makes it great, and fresh tasting. Don't use regular stewed tomatoes; it just won't taste nearly as good.

Tips:
- Use ripe, fresh tomatoes. This will ensure the best flavor and texture for your salsa.
- Choose the right type of tomatoes. Roma tomatoes are a good option because they are meaty and have fewer seeds. However, you can use any type of tomato you like.
- Chop the tomatoes into small pieces. This will help the salsa come together more easily.
- Add some chopped onion. This will give the salsa a bit of a bite.
- Add some chopped cilantro. This will add a fresh, citrusy flavor to the salsa.
- Add some chopped jalapeño pepper. This will give the salsa a bit of heat. However, you can omit the jalapeño pepper if you don't like spicy food.
- Add some lime juice. This will help to brighten the flavors of the salsa.
- Season the salsa with salt and pepper. Taste the salsa and adjust the seasonings as needed.
- Chill the salsa for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld together.
Conclusion:
Fresh salsa is a delicious and versatile condiment that can be used to add flavor to a variety of dishes. It is a great way to use up fresh tomatoes and other vegetables. Fresh salsa is also a healthy choice, as it is low in calories and fat. So, next time you are looking for a quick and easy way to add some flavor to your meal, give fresh salsa a try!
