Tips:

  • To ensure your pickle coins are evenly coated and crispy, make sure the buttermilk batter is not too thick or too thin. It should be a consistency that easily coats the pickle coins without dripping off.
  • For a flavorful kick, consider adding a dash of your favorite seasonings to the breading mix. Garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, or chili powder are all great options to enhance the taste of your pickle coins.
  • If you don't have panko breadcrumbs, you can use regular breadcrumbs or crushed crackers as a substitute. However, panko breadcrumbs will give your pickle coins a lighter and crispier texture.
  • To prevent the pickle coins from sticking to the pan, make sure the oil is hot enough before frying. The ideal temperature for frying is between 350°F and 375°F.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan when frying the pickle coins. This will prevent them from cooking evenly and becoming soggy.
