2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Confectioners' sugar, optional

Steps:

  • In a microwave, melt butter and chocolate; stir until smooth. Cool. Transfer to a large bowl. Stir in the eggs, sugar, flour, nuts, baking powder and vanilla., Pour into a greased 8-in. square baking pan. Bake at 350° for 16-20 minutes or until top is set. Cool on a wire rack. 1 c butter
3/4 c cocoa, unsweetened
2-1/4 c sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp salt
3 large eggs
1-1/4 c all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 c chopped nuts ( i use walnuts)
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 350 Degrees. Lightly grease a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Stir in cocoa; blend until smooth. remove from heat and cool slightly. Add sugar, vanilla, salt, and eggs. Beat thoroughly. Add flour and baking powder. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Batter will be stiff. Spread it evenly in prepared pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until top is dry and and brownies just begin to pull away from sides of the pan. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cool and cut into 36 brownies.
