Time 6h15m

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 14-oz can(s) green beans, with liquid
6 slice bacon, cooked, reserve drippings
bacon drippings, optional
6 Tbsp vinegar
6 Tbsp brown sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Place all ingredients in a small crock pot including some of the bacon drippings (optional).
  • 2. Cook on low 6-8 hours.

Tips:

  • Choose fresh, tender green beans: Look for beans that are bright green in color and have a crisp snap when you break them.
  • Trim the beans: Cut off the ends of the beans, and then remove any strings that run along the sides.

  • Cook the beans: There are many different ways to cook green beans, including boiling, steaming, sautéing, and roasting. The cooking method you choose will depend on your personal preferences and the other ingredients in your dish.
  • Season the beans: Green beans can be seasoned with a variety of herbs, spices, and sauces. Some popular seasonings for green beans include garlic, onion, salt, pepper, butter, and lemon juice.
