Tips:

- For the **best flavor**, use high-quality sushi rice. It has a slightly sticky texture that is perfect for rice pudding. - If you don't have sushi rice, you can use medium-grain rice or short-grain rice. - Be sure to **rinse the rice** well before cooking to remove the starch. This will help prevent the pudding from becoming gummy. - Use whole milk or half and half for a **richer pudding**. - Add a pinch of salt to the pudding to **balance out the sweetness**. - For a **creamier pudding**, whisk in some heavy cream at the end of cooking. - Flavor the pudding with your favorite spices, extracts, or fruits. - Some popular **flavor variations** include vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, citrus zest, and berries. - Serve the pudding warm or chilled. - Leftover pudding can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
