Time 3h15m

Yield 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

3 lbs chicken wings, trimmed
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons Chinese five spice powder
3 tablespoons sliced green onions
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients except green onions and sesame seeds in slow cooker; cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours, draining off the fat after 3 hours.
  • Arrange chicken wings on a platter; garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Tips:

  • Choose the right chicken wings: Look for wings that are plump and have a good amount of meat on them. Avoid wings that are thin or have a lot of skin.
  • Marinate the wings for at least 30 minutes: This will help the flavors to penetrate the chicken and make them more delicious. You can use a variety of marinades, but a simple mixture of soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and honey is always a good option.
  • Cook the wings on a high heat: This will help to create a crispy skin and juicy meat. You can cook the wings in a pan on the stovetop or in the oven.
  • Serve the wings with your favorite dipping sauce: Some popular options include ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, and sweet and sour sauce.

Conclusion:

Ginger soy chicken wings are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main course. They are perfect for parties or potlucks, and they can also be enjoyed as a quick and easy meal.
